Standards

Where the figures come from, and how the site is made.

Sources

Figures come from what governments publish: assessor files, permits, parcels, budgets, council and commission records, the Census. Every figure names its source. A figure from a public records request names the request, so anyone can ask for the same file.

Corrections

A correction means a published figure was wrong by its own stated method. The page says so and the corrections log keeps the original beside the fix. An update means the figure was right and newer data refined it; the page carries a dated note.

Use of AI

The research runs on software and AI agents built for this site. Pages are drafted and edited with Claude and OpenAI’s Codex, and reviewed by a person before they go up; that person stands behind every figure. The line drawings are made with an AI image model and illustrate; they never stand in for a real place.

Photographs

Photographs show real places. Each is the author’s own or openly licensed and credited on its page. In the author’s own photographs, faces and licence plates are blurred.

Independence

plat.house is independent and self-funded. Any funding, client, or stake held in Bellevue housing or land is disclosed here and on the pages it relates to.

Not advice

Stories describe places, records and public decisions. Nothing here is legal, financial or real-estate advice.
